The countdown begins 67 days until the Great Notts Show 2014

We are very excited about this year’s show with loads of amazing new things happening. GNS 2014 are pleased to announce that our boys from I’m Not From London are hosting the Alea Casino stage this year with some of the best local talent Nottingham has to offer ! Alongside this we have our very own pub quiz on Friday and Sunday and on Saturday we have Rock and Roll Bingo hosted by Mecca Bingo…

The bar area is being hosted by Flipside Brewery this year who will have a 12m x 12m area including a fully heated and lit outdoor beer garden, this will be ran in front of the main stage (see bar section for more details on Flipside)

In the main Market Square we have over 5o stalls showcasing the best in local produces including the now world famous Johnny Pustkai from JT Beedhams in Sherwood…he will be bringing along some locally reared pork for his hog roast and also a fully stocked butchers counter. We have everyone’s favourite Greek Restaurant Yamas, for those who attended last year you know to get in the queue early…these guys get busy and it’s hardly surprising, the Kyoris are amazing!

We have a wide range of other foods, including Mexican, Italian, Thai, Indian and Caribbean. Our favourite little coffee shop from Hockley, Hartley’s will be joining us once more specialising in milkshakes, and ice creams plus food including gluten free and dairy free products. Simply cakes as always will attend with their café set up which will be situated in front of the council house. For those who like to keep it traditional Moleface Pub Company who venues include The Wollaton, Larwood and Voce and the Lord Nelson will be serving up full roast dinners…all topped off with some awesome Yorkshire puds!

On Smithy row and Long Row we have over 30 stalls a wide range of crafts, arts and retail along with a dedicated section to tourism, this will host some of the city and counties best offerings such as Nottingham Castle, Wollaton Park, Galleries of Justice and the Caves…oh and some guy called Robin Hood!

Queen and King Street will have more stalls to visit including some of our supporters and sponsors so watch this space for more announcements

Gary Allen, co-founder said: “We have been overwhelmed by the support of the good people of Nottinghamshire and beyond in regards to our event…last year saw us take over the entire Market square and adjoining roads with over 100,000 people attending the show over the 3 days, to do this was a dream and we aim to keep on improving the event to sure that the good people of Nottingham get the show they deserve, each year it will get bigger and better so watch out Nottingham great things are on their way “
